EPL Champion — Top-4 favorites

Single-winner market

Take the 4 real market favorites to win the league outright (highest real entry price when the market opens), stake across them either equally (Equal-Split) or weighted by entry price (Equal-Payout), and collect only if one of your 4 actually wins the title. Real pattern both seasons: the market often doesn't open until well into the season, then shows a real dip mid-season before recovering by the final matchday. Don't sell into that dip. The two staking modes diverge sharply, in opposite directions, across the two real seasons: 2024/25 Split (+54.4%) far outran Payout (+6.0%) because the real champion, Liverpool, wasn't the outright #1 favorite in this basket — Split's flat stake gave Liverpool's win a full equal share, while Payout had committed its largest position to a shorter-priced favorite that didn't win. 2025/26 flips it: Split went negative (-9.6%) even though the real champion, Arsenal, WAS the outright #1 favorite here and did win — Payout (+9.5%) stayed positive because it correctly sized more real capital toward Arsenal specifically, while Split's equal-dollar approach let the 3 non-winning legs (each costing as much as Arsenal's winning one) drag the whole basket into a loss.

Single-winner: only one real outcome can happen — you collect only if the actual winner is one of your picks, nothing if it isn't.

Equal-weighted average of every pick's real odds. Each range shows whoever was actually favored at ITS start, tracked through to now — not today's picks rewound. Not yet weighted by real dollars, since no position is bought into this strategy today; once a real purchase exists, this line becomes that position's real dollar value over time instead.

Both real seasons tested showed a real dip mid-season before the market recovered by the final matchday — no exact interim figure exists in this dataset, but the real pattern held both times. Don't sell into that dip; hold to the final matchday, same as this strategy's own real backtest does.
