Disclosures

Important information about Alto.

Alto is designed to help users research and interact with strategies built around prediction markets. Understanding what Alto is, and what it is not, is important before using the platform.

Alto is software

Alto is a software interface and strategy layer. Alto does not operate the underlying prediction markets and does not act as the counterparty determining the outcome of those markets.

No pooled capital

Alto strategies are not pooled investment funds. Users do not contribute capital to a shared Alto portfolio. Each user’s allocation is individual.

Non-custodial structure

Alto is being designed so that customer funds remain with supported third-party infrastructure rather than being held by Alto. Availability of this structure and individual features may depend on Alto’s integrations and the user’s jurisdiction.

Research is not advice

Strategies, rankings, historical performance, backtests, simulations, Vela responses, and other information displayed by Alto are informational. They are not individualized recommendations based on a user’s personal financial circumstances.

Historical and backtested results

Historical results are based on available market data and stated assumptions. Backtests involve limitations — including survivorship, liquidity and execution assumptions that do not hold in a live book — and may differ materially from results achievable in live markets. A backtested return is not a projection.

Positions displayed in your account are real, not simulated. Where a figure on a strategy page is historical rather than yours, it is labelled as such on that page.

Third-party prediction markets

Markets accessible through or referenced by Alto may be operated by independent third parties. Market rules, eligibility requirements, settlement procedures, liquidity, availability, and pricing are controlled by those platforms.

Fees

Applicable fees, if any, should be disclosed to users before they authorize relevant transactions. Third-party venues may separately charge their own fees.

Geographic availability

Prediction-market regulation varies by jurisdiction. Alto may restrict products, markets, or functionality based on a user’s location and the availability of compliant third-party infrastructure.

No guarantee

No strategy displayed on Alto is guaranteed to be profitable. Users should evaluate the risks before allocating capital.

Alto is a self-directed, non-custodial software interface — it never holds your funds. Orders placed here are real, executed in your own account at Polymarket US, a CFTC-regulated exchange; your money stays at the venue. Baskets are impersonal and standardized; nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation. Backtested figures are historical and are not a promise of future results. Availability is geo-routed by jurisdiction. Prediction-market trading involves substantial risk of loss.
